Youth Mentors
(Available in person and online)
Youth mentoring is the process of forming a positive, supportive, and consistent relationship between a young person and a trusted, experienced adult role model. The aim is to help young people grow, develop life skills, and navigate the challenges of childhood and adolescence in a healthy, constructive way.
A Mentor Provides:
Guidance and Advice – Helping young people think through decisions, set achievable goals, and plan the steps to reach them.
Encouragement and Motivation – Offering support and reassurance during difficult times, and celebrating successes along the way.
A Listening Ear – Creating a safe space for young people to share their thoughts, worries, and ambitions without judgement.
Skill Development – Assisting with practical skills such as communication, problem-solving, organisation, or self-confidence.
Exposure to Opportunities – Introducing new activities, interests, and perspectives that broaden horizons.
Youth mentors do not replace parents, teachers, or counsellors—they complement them. The role is not therapy, but rather a trusted partnership built on mutual respect and understanding. Over time, this relationship can help a young person feel more capable, more resilient, and more confident in who they are and what they can achieve.
All Youth Mentoring Sessions Run for 50 minutes at £45
